Preparatory Year at the University

First: About the preparatory year - at King Abdul-Aziz - scientific track:
The preparatory year is the year of study for all new students admitted to the scientific track your college science the following:

The student studies during this year (27) and unit of study credits distributed on two levels), two semesters (learn where the student all that is needed from the principles of basic science), mathematics, and physics, and statistics, and chemistry, and biology, as well as communication skills and computer, and English Language) so that the student can easily get involved in the university environment and to continue his studies at the college that will attend.
This is determined by the weighted percentage in the preparatory year) after passing all the requirements of the preparatory year (and the extent of absorption of colleges and the desire of the student, and this operation is carried electronically in accordance with specific standards overseen by the Deanship of Admission and Registration in coordination with the colleges concerned.

Second, the system of study of the preparatory year:
1 - The student has to pass consecutive two levels during the two semesters
2 - This year does not allow the deletion, addition of courses, and the structure is constant throughout the study period of the Preparatory Year.
3 - The registration process is done automatically by the Deanship of Admission and registration, according to the study plan of the preparatory year.
4 - All students must pass the preparatory year successfully, during the first year, and allows only an extra semester to study for the student struggling to finish the requirements of the preparatory year) 
5 - prohibits the student from entering the final test because of absence in calsses exceeding the set limit

Third, placement in college:
1 - Students are applied to determine their desires through a system of electronic services. ODUS
2 - Results are sorted after the end of the summer semester and excludes unrealized applications standards (must pass the all subjects of the preparatory year to successfully enter into a trade-off).
3 - The trade-off between companies and students depend on the weighted average of the subjects and the capacity of the colleges.
4 - No student is allowed to change after the results of college placement are decided.

Fourth, the method of calculating the weighted average sciatic:
(Total weight of the material ÷ number of hours)
