Abstract : Review for management information systems in a library environment that libraries are organizations work like any other organizations work by managers and a number of staff, the management responsibilities include: planning, organization, direction and motivation, control and decision-making in order to solve problems. In order to do those responsibilities, the burdens managers need information about what is happening in the internal and external environment, and for that environment libraries fall under the weight of severe acute changes need of those who made it to focus on answering a number of questions: What is the business that they do? Of are Mstvidenhm? How are levels of performance? Are they can do development? In order to answer those questions has many libraries re-write and develop their goals and Rasalthm dependent on changing infrastructure for them and their operations, and to do so was the most important means designing management information systems based on service recipients, and in this review was to highlight the concepts and definitions for management information systems and applications in the environment of electronic libraries, with a review of studies of running libraries as business organizations with interest levels of performance and decision-making models and their own entrances as a model such as decision support systems.
