The inhibitors used are: Sodium, Potasium and Ammonium picrate, mono, di, tri and tetramethylammonium picrate. The compounds have a marked inhibitive effect on the corrosion of aluminium. The dependence of corrosion rate on inhibitor concentration is highly marked.
